Privacy

Privacy, in plain language.

What this site collects, why, and the control you have over it — without the legalese.

Last updated June 2026

Plain-language draft. This policy is written to be readable. It reflects how this site actually works today and will be updated as things change. It isn't legal advice.

01The short version

In plain English

This is a personal website. I collect almost nothing — only what you choose to send me through the contact form or the newsletter signup. I don't sell your data, ever.

02What I collect

In plain English

Your name, email, and message if you use the contact form. Your email if you subscribe. Basic, non-identifying usage data so I know the site works.

03How I use it

In plain English

To reply to you, to send the essays you signed up for, and to keep the site working. That's it.

04Who I share it with

In plain English

Only the trusted services that actually run the site — email delivery, scheduling, and hosting. They process data on my behalf; they don't get to use it for themselves.

05Cookies & analytics

In plain English

No advertising trackers. At most, lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics to count visits.

06How long I keep it

In plain English

Contact messages: as long as needed to help you. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

07Your rights & choices

In plain English

You can unsubscribe anytime, and you can ask me to show you or delete the information I have about you. Just email me.

08Security

In plain English

I use reputable providers and sensible safeguards — but no method is 100% secure, so please don't send anything highly sensitive.

09Children

In plain English

This site isn't for children, and I don't knowingly collect their information.

10Changes & contact

In plain English

If this policy changes, the date at the top updates. Questions? Email me.
